On the Reaction between Ammonia and Silicon Tetrachloride : Crystal-Model Study of the Products of the Reaction between Ammonia and Silicon Tetrachloride
The reaction products between ammonia and silicon tetrachloride were studied at room temperature. 1) By the X-ray analysis of the powder method and the microphoto-analysis, we found that one of the two reaction products is ammonium chloride, another diimino monosilan, and the reaction formula of this reaction at room temperature, as SiCl_4+6NH_3=4NH_4Cl+Si(NH)_2 2) The crystal from of silicon of diimino monosilan belongs to hexagonal system and the lattice constant is a=6, 6_6K.X. and c/a=1.0, On the crystal group it needs to be confirmed. As the experimental method we applied for the determination of the crystal form was expanded by BUERGER recently, so we are wishing to confirm our crystals by his simmetry theorem.
