This survey reports the current living conditions and satisfaction levels at the Ochanomizu
University student dormitory, the Ochadai SCC(Student Community Commons). Moreover,
this data aims to improve dormitory management and student support. The primary findings
revealed: 1) some students do not understand the dormitory’ s educational programs before
moving in. They require sufficient information in advance. 2) In case problems occur in the
dormitory, only 13.8% students affirmed that they would consult the RA (Resident Assistant:
a third year university student residing in the dormitory to support junior students). It is
important to promote communication opportunities and ensure the RA can be consulted
informally. 3) The survey revealed that communication opportunities in the dormitory have
increased since the 2011 and 2013 surveys. However, there is insufficient communication
