The main results were as follows. First,\nEL and AR-EU scores increased with increasing age, whereas ER seemed to be well developed by around 3–4\nyears of age. The persistence of relatively low AR-EU scores even in 6-year-olds suggests that AR-EU\ncontinues to develop during elementary school. Second, some significant relationships between the\nunderstanding of emotion and language development were observed. Third, a significant gender effect was\nfound only for the AR-EU task.
