We focused on students' learning experiences as an indirect assessment and GPA as a direct assessment with respect to learning outcomes. We also analyzed the data using a cross-lagged panel model and multiple regression analysis with GPA at graduation (T3) as the dependent variable and study experience and GPA during the first (T1) and third (T2) years as independent variables. Structural equation models, using a cross-lagged panel design, revealed a significant association between positive/negative experiences at T1 and GPA at T2, and vice versa. Furthermore, we found that positive/negative experiences at T2 are significant predictors of GPA at graduation (T3), even when controlling for GPA at T2.
