Interviews with mothers who have a child that stopped going to school and their family’s experience with “Futōkō” showed both the possibility and difficulty of reconstructing social order within the family. The current understanding of “Futōkō” emphasizes on the family’s emotional bond, causing this phenomenon to be regarded as a personal issue rather than a social one.},
