In this period, women in China tried to find a balance between “Work” (career) and “Life” (home, housework). However, they encountered problems in trying to have a career in a society where traditional culture promotes oppressive values towards women. Particularly in the 1950s, the propagandists of the Communist Party forced women to join the workforce. Therefore, by seeking their independence, Chinese women had to find a balance between their career (Work) and home (Life).},
