Based on the structure of the BALLI questionnaire designed by Horwitz in 1987 with\\\nTaiwanese students, the questionnaire of this research concludes seven features of non-Japanese major\\\nlearners' beliefs. First, they think some limitations on learning language cannot be changed, even though they\\\nstudy hard. Second, they know learning a foreign language is different from other curriculums, and they know\\\nthey need some unique way to better learn the language. Third, they are optimistic to learning a foreign\\\nlanguage regardless of preoccupation in other courses. Fourth, they believe that it is efficient to learn Japanese\\\nby audio and repetitive practice. Fifth, they tend to converse as part of their learning objective. Sixth, they like\\\ntraditional learning methods and think textbooks and periodic tests are necessary. And finally, those who have\\\nstudied Japanese for over one year place more importance on accuracy. This investigation also finds that\\\nduring different learning periods, the learning belief of learners is susceptible to change.
