In other words, it examines how her psychological domain is maintained, integrating new information obtained in Japanese (L2) with knowledge, experience, and values gained in her mother tongue (L1), in class. Interactions among native and non-native participants in class were analyzed. The results indicate a three stage process. First, she actively recognized the society and world where she lives. Second, she acquired vocabulary and associated the meanings with her own life and personal situation. Third, she developed a mindset to face problems in society and the world as her own.
