The teacher needs to offer support to these learners. This paper is a report on peer-monitoring activity which is a way for learners to foster their self-monitoring skills through sharing the pronunciation learning process and constructing their knowledge about pronunciation together. I examine two group events to construct self-theory. Study1 examined the basis of self-theory. Student’s self-theory is based on phonetic knowledge of Korean and empirical knowledge and sensation. Study2 examined constructing self-theory process. In the self-theory constructing process, learners verified their own perspective in coord\\\nination with phonetic knowledge.
