 note = {application/pdf, 紀要論文, 自ら求めなければその目標言語に接することのない外国語学習者にとって、オートノミーであることは、外国語を習得する上で重要である。1980年代以降、外国語教育の分野において、学習者オートノミーは活発に討論されてきたテーマにも係わらず、学習者オートノミーを促すような実践を紹介したアクション・リサーチは少ない。本稿では、台湾の大学における(日本語専攻者向けの3年次の)日本語会話クラスにおいて、マンガを用いたアクティビティを実践し、学習者オートノミーを促進することができるか、なるべく自然な状態でデータを集め、そのデータを分析した。また、そのような通常の授業内容以外の教材・タスク・アクティビティを管理する方法として教授モジュールという概念を提案し、その可能性が学習者の認識レベルにおいて示唆された。また、意識的に教授モジュールとして管理することで、教師の授業準備時間の短縮および教授知識の累積につながることが明らかになった。It is important for foreign language learners, whose environment does not require to use its foreign language in their daily life, to be autonomy in order to acquire its foreign language. Since 1980’s, the concept of autonomy has received the attention in the foreign language education field; however, few action research related to promote learner autonomy has been reported. This paper is an action research in which the author designed the activity with manga intended to promote learner autonomy, implemented its activity in the Japanese conversation classes opened for the junior level students of Japanese major, collected data from various angles, and analyzed its data. In addition, the author proposed the conc\
ept of instructional method as well as materials, which are not in textbook, and conducted its action research based on its concept. As a result, it turned out to be clear that the instructor’s attempt to promote learner autonomy in class resulted in its most learners’ behaviors’ change outside of the class in the learners’ cognition level. In addition, this paper reveals the significance of letting learners’ to think over the effective learning method post to stimulate their metacognition. Even in the constraint such as limited implementation time, the potential of fostering learners’ autonomy was successfully revealed in the learners’ cognition level. Furthermore, managing instructional module consciously led to the shorter time of preparing class, accumulation of instructional knowledge, and effective lesson.},
