Therefore, the students need to be trained intensively in the matter after entering the graduate school. This article reports about a curriculum of research methodology developed by the first author for these students. It includes its background, its purpose, and its “contents” standing for the syllabus of the class. The “contents” have been elaborated mainly to enhance the students’ ability in the following four points; the ability to collect and analyze the information related to their research, the ability to carry out a research project and analyze the collected data, the ability to report the result of the research by contributing written articles or making oral presentations, and the meta-cognitive ability to overview their own research activities and make adjustments if need be.
