AcrySenseは, LEDとフォトダイオードが配置された基板をアクリルの両側面に配置し, LEDを光源としつつ, アクリル板内で反射したフォトダイオードへの入射光を検出する. この際, 彫刻部に指を触れることで, アクリル板内を通過するLEDの光量が変化し, 大まかな接触位置を推定する. 本論文では, AcrySenseのコンセプト, 実装について述べる. These days, the carved acrylic boards became popular because the laser cutters have widespread. When an acrylic board is lighted from its side with LEDs like a LCD backlight, the carved patterns become beautifully lighted. We propose an interactive system, AcrySense, which can treat a carved acrylic board as input device with simple and inexpensive configuration. The AcrySense mainly consists of a carved acrylic board and main boards (LEDs, Photo Diodes and a micro controller) on the both sides.
