 note = {application/pdf, 紀要論文, サモア独立国における日本語教育の現状を報告し、課題を抽出するとともに試案を述べる。サモア国立大学での日本語教育は7年目に入り、教養としての外国語科目と共に社会のニーズに即した科目の提供を考えていかなければならない時期にきている。学生数を増やすことが現在の課題だが、知名度の問題、日本語の需要、履修システムの問題の3点から解決策を考える。「日本デー」などの広報活動で知名度を高め、「観光日本語」「子どもの日本語」などのコース開発で需要に答え、底辺の拡充を試みている。履修システム改善は今後の課題となる。, The Japanese language in Samoa is taught both as an academic course and in response to community needs. Community needs include Japanese language for the tourism industry and a Japanese course for children. Presently there are very few students of Japanese language. Luck of publicity has been identified as one reason for the small numbers. 'Japan Days' might help increase the numbers. However revision of the credit system so that foreign languages become compulsory rather than elective courses would certainly increase the numbers.},
