Focusing on elementary school students' curiosity for learning,\\\nwe investigated exploratorily the characteristics of epistemic curiosity and the relationships\\\namong epistemic curiosity, in-class learning experience, critical thinking disposition, and the\\\nskills of practical use of information during the transition from elementary and junior high\\\nschool. Surveys were given to 125 students in the sixth grade in elementary and again 115 in\\\nthe seventh grade in junior high school. A sample of 62 students responded to the two-year\\\nsurveys.
