Practical\ training in this course has shown to be an opportunity for them to reconsider their career\ options, as during this time, they are required to inculcate career readiness. In this research,\ we consider factors that may influence their early termination, including mentoring that has\ shown to influence the quality of training and career readiness, using social cognitive career\ theory (SCCT) of Lent et al. (1994). The survey was conducted with 213 second year students\ of a nursery teacher training junior college. Covariance structure analysis suggested that\ practical experience promoted career readiness, mentoring positively influenced practical\ experience; results also suggest that self-evaluation is important.
