Four\ hundred and nineteen new students and four hundred and twenty-one guardians completed\ questionnaire surveys about student life, career, dormitories, and their families. We report\ the main findings as follows: 1. The percentage of students who commute from their own\ home is 56.7%. Therefore, about 40 percent of students commute from their dormitory or\ boardinghouse, etc. Further, 50.5% of the students living outside of their own home receive\ a monthly remittance of less than 100,000 yen. 2. The percentage of guardians who need\ scholarships for their children increased over ten points from the previous year among those\ with household incomes under 6,000,000 yen. 3. About 70% of students surveyed wish to keep\ working after marriage and having children. 4.
