However, for learners of Japanese \ as a foreign language it is difficult to understand its meaning and how it should be used. Because in \ English or in Chinese language it is uncommon to re-thank for something which happened in the past \ when they meet again. The purpose of this research is to reveal what the speech act is the re-thanking for previous indebtedness in Japanese language.\ This investigation adopts two methods. One is the replication study of Tokugawa (1993) which included a national survey and cross-national research. The other is a questionnaire survey by open-ended question. The descriptive data are analyzed by KJ method (Kawakita 1970). Participants are 50 \ Japanese native speakers who are university students.\ The results are as follows: (1) the frames of interpretation are “custom to be expected” (45%) and “attitude of politeness without forgetting indebtedness” (43%), (2) contextualized conventions are “using for the purpose which build a better relationship.” and “using as a speech formula to open a conversation.”}, pages = {1--9}, title = {日本語母語話者の記述回答にみる「後日の再感謝」の発話行為 : 「解釈フレーム」と「コンテクスト化の慣習」を枠組みとして}, volume = {19}, year = {2017} }
