It is based on observations of several play episodes of a child in a 1 year-old class. Through these observations three facts became clear. First, the child.s awareness of the difference in sizes develops by comparing real objects and illustrations. Second, the child's active exploratory behavior includes independent and investigative learning in specific play situations. Third, this type of exploratory behavior exhibited in a safe and comfortable environment during early childhood care and education is necessary for intellectual growth. Moreover, the present study shows that in this relationship the lead role of the child is paramount. As a follow up study, it would be valuable to gather empirical data of exploratory behaviors in cognitive learning from the playing field.}, pages = {137--145}, title = {保育における遊びのなかの学び : 1歳児クラスの園児の探索活動の事例から}, volume = {16}, year = {2014} }
