It is known as a masterpiece that has continued to fascinate the audience through its captivating story. Those stories describe them Loyalists. And, also in the real world, their loyalty earned respects and admiration. Despite their vengeance was illegality, people in the Edo period asserted the legitimacy. This climate of public opinion has not changed. Why public regards the Ako roshi as “Loyalists” though they broke the law. This fact is concerned with our sense of justice. For reconsideration to the meaning of “ Justice”, I treat a script of “Chushingura” and the Ako roshi’s wills. These shows sense of “Justice” in Edo period. According to these source books, the situation what we judge “Justice”. “Justice” of the Ako roshi derives from Bushido. For that reason, this sense tends to be regarded peculiar to the samurai. But, it’s not only the samurai’s sense of value but also the commonalty has the same sense. The commonalty also made a thing of “Justice” from Bushido.
