Many examples of dances in the Bible have been used for worshiping God and usually done in the forms of either circle dances or line dances, or both. The Biblical meaning of dance forms is to promote a sense of community, shift the attention from oneself and one’s past to others and God, and rebuild self awareness. 　Also the Bible was a source of the inspiration for dance works by many modern dancers in the 20th century. Dance works were created from the bible story reflected matters of the times.
