I conducted a questionnaire survey of 119 Chinese students and completed a statistical analysis of the data obtained. In the first part of the study, I investigated the relationship between the Chinese students ’ negative perceptions and their level of satisfaction concerning friendships. The results indicated that the level of satisfaction is influenced by negative perceptions of ‘ a sense of discrimination ’ and ‘ a failure of exchange’. In the second part of the study, I investigated the relationship between a student’s negative perceptions and the causal attribution for dissatisfaction with their friendships. The results indicated that the ‘social external factor’ was influenced by the negative perceptions of ‘a failure of exchange’, while the ‘personal inner factor’ was influenced by ‘a sense of discrimination’ and ‘the current year at university’. Additionally, the ‘personal external factor’ was influenced by ‘a sense of discrimination’. Together, these findings suggest the importance of creating an environment to facilitate positive cross-cultural exchange on campus. Moreover, it is demonstrated that when Chinese students feel discriminated against, it is difficult for them to make friendships.}, pages = {83--91}, title = {中国人留学生の友人関係に関する体験の否定的認識と友人関係への不満、原因帰属の関連について}, volume = {15}, year = {2013} }
