This paper, utilizing Personal Attitude Construct (hereafter PAC) analysis (Naito, 2002), examines how a multiculturally oriented JSL program (Okazaki, 2002) affected a participant's attitude toward the coexistence of NS and NNS residents. The attitude of a NNS participant, strongly inclined to adapting herself to Japanese society, was compared both before and after she participated in the program. The results show that before participating in the program the NNS participant valued her determination and action in adapting herself to Japanese society and implied a humble expectation of NS residents. On the other hand, after participating she did not desire such adaptation, but instead positioned NS and NNS residents as equal partners for coexistence. In addition, after participating the NNS came to recogni\ ze that she could play a more active role in multicultural society. Based on these results, this study indicates that through the multiculturally oriented JSL program the participant fostered a more positive attitude toward multicultural coexistence including the importance of developing equal relationships between NS and NNS residents and broadening her role in Japanese society.}, pages = {101--110}, title = {「共生日本語教育」が日本語非母語話者参加者の積極的共生態度の醸成に及ぼす影響 : PAC分析による事例検証}, volume = {12}, year = {2010} }
