The book comes under “Buhenbanashi-shu”, or the collection of tales of warriors. This book consists of ninety-four short lesson stories and most of these stories have more than one tales. Many of these tales are similar to those ones appeared in the books published earlier than “Koro-Ikusa-Monogatari”.This paper tries to show the relationships between “Koro-Ikusa-Monogatari” and two of the other works, “Koyo-Gunkan”, the book on the eminent warrior family Takeda of Kai, and “Hojo-Godaiki”,on another renowned warrior family Hojo of Odawara.
