These days, the lack of sociality in children has become a big issue. Some studies argue that this is because children can no longer learn sociality spontaneously at home, in schools, and their local community. In order to resolve this issue, mutual cooperation among these three places is necessary. This study has two objectives: 1) to define sociality more concretely, and 2) to survey parents ’ and teachers ’attitudes towards nurturing sociality in children in order to investigate the process of effective mutual cooperation. First, we assumed that sociality was composed of 12features. Then, we conducted a series of web survey exercises for parents and teachers. The results were as follows: 1) Both parents andteachers thought that “ willingness to comply with the social manners and rules, ” which was one of components of sociality was most important for children; 2) Parents thought that children can acquire many aspects of sociality at home. In contrast, teachers thought that they can acquire them in school. 3) Parents\ thought that children can acquire most sociality spontaneously. Meanwhile, teachers thought that children need to receive some training to acquire sociality.}, pages = {289--297}, title = {社会性の育成に関する親や教員の意識 : 広義の社会性を定義して}, volume = {11}, year = {2009} }
