But the number and the rate of female local legislators of the Democratic Party of Japan(DPJ), the New Komeito, the Liberal Democratic Party increased in the 2007 Nationwide Local Election. In this paper I focus on the change of the rate of female local assembly members of each party and aim to ascertain characteristics and patterns of the political recruitment of female local assembly members by each political party. For this purpose, I research female candidates ’ career paths in the 1999-2007 Kanagawa Prefectural and Yokohama Municipal Legislative elections. From the research, it became clear that the DPJ made a new recruitment pattern by selecting females who had a high political experience, such as a secretary of the National Diet Member or a lobbyist in their local communities. The JCP and the Seikatsusha Networks in Kanagawa recruited females in associated groups as candidates and kept their own recruit\ ment patterns of female local legislators. The difference between the recruitment patterns of each party influenced the rate of female local assembly members of each party in the 2007 election.}, pages = {451--466}, title = {女性地方議員のキャリア・パスから見た政党・党派のリクルートメントの特徴と傾向 : 1999年から2007年までの神奈川県議会議員選挙と横浜市議会議員選挙の考察}, volume = {11}, year = {2009} }
