Before the year he inquired into truth by reason, but after it he believed and depended on the help of other-power. Against such an accepted opinion, I will prove in this paper that Kiyozawa in the latter period did not abandon reason by examining "All Kinds of Personality Virtue", that collects Kiyozawa's writings from 1900 to 1905 For Kiyozawa the self is controlled and limited by the principle of causality. At the same time he thinks that there is infinity formed by the principle of causality in the root of the self. In "All Kinds of Personality Virtue" he insists on the necessity of understanding it by reason. In his opinion we become aware of the limit of reason by using reason to the maximum and cannot help believing infinity. At that time the meaning of reason changes into infinite one and faith is established. In other words, Kiyozawa does not abandon the inquiry into the truth by reason, however he recognizes that reason is not almighty.}, pages = {5.1--5.8}, title = {「心霊の諸徳」における清沢満之の信と知}, volume = {10}, year = {2008} }
