He read Anaxagoras' book, but he couldn't find the answer. He solved the question in Timaeus. Plato insists that our soul is tripartite; wisdom, bravery and desire in The Republic. In Timaeus, his work of natural science, he continues his theory of the soul. He explains how the Demiurge created the cosmos, human beings and souls etc. The cosmos has an order. There is a soul in the cosmos, and the soul controls the cosmos. Wisdom, the supreme part of the human soul, which the supreme Demiurge created, is divine and controls other parts of the soul and the body. The cosmos is a picture of human beings. Plato's cosmogony is, therefore, humanism. Plato admires human beings as a small cosmos in that it is the best and the most beautiful thing.}, pages = {169--176}, title = {小宇宙としての個プラトン『ティマイオス』のコスモゴニー}, volume = {10}, year = {2008} }
