The results of the survey to the residents said that Yamaage-matsuri had once held in the whole town for the opportunity to express belief to Ujigami, or gods, and for the pleasure once in a year. Results also make clear the fact that Wakashu, or young male successors was and is and will be the center of the festival. The residents have had a dilemma, when the festival had changed from the festival for old six districts to that of the whole town, and when it had appointed to the cultural assets of the country. That is, while the festival had had the more meanings as the assets of the whole town and the country, the only six districts had heavily shouldered its responsibilities and management. According to consolidation with neighbor town on October in 2005, the dilemma might be bigger than before. They also have other problems such as contradictions between religion and tourist attractions, holding the festival on the stree\ ts where cars are coming and going, managing to raise festival expenses where elderly households increasing, bringing up Wakashu in the districts where decrease the children.}, pages = {285--296}, title = {当番町住民の意識にみる山あげ祭の変遷}, volume = {10}, year = {2008} }
