First, in examining differences in the work of Hofstede, Chinese Culture Connection and Schwartz, I ascertain that the research can be summarized by the four common dimensions of autonomy, maintainability, controllability and equability. Next, I asserted that there are four main dimensions in the structure of educational values: traditionalism (authoritarianism), liberalism, self-actulization, and social contribution. Finally, I conduct a theoretical examination of interaction between basic human values and educational values, the results of which can be summarized as follows: the maintainability and controllability of the basic value system is achieved through engagement with traditionalism (authoritarianism) to further relationships between members of a social order. Moreover, the equability of the basic value system-systematizing equality between people-is conducted through liberalism. On this basis it becomes apparent that the two comprehensiv\ e value systems possess an element in common. However, the difference between basic values and educational values can be established in relation to the two dimensions of self-actulization and social contribution, indicating that educational values work independently of the basic value system.}, pages = {267--276}, title = {教育価値観の構造の理論的考察 : 一般的価値観との関連}, volume = {8}, year = {2005} }
