The excursion, which witnessed nearly 100-percent participation, was organized in May, 1894. Drawn by two teachers of the school, the picture scroll depicts 12 scenes comprising sentence-picture sets. The departure was the school gate in Ochanomizu and the destination was Yuten-ji Temple in Meguro. The course of the trip seems to have been various in each group and 10 stopover sites were drawn in the picture scroll. I examined five sightseeing guidebooks to check whether these sites had been published in them on a simultaneous period. The Sengaku-ji and Zojo-ji temples, Meguro Fudo, and Mt. Atago-yama appeared in all the guide-books ; Okubo, three ; Yuten-ji temple, two ; Kishimojin, the arched bridge, and the Yebis Beer factory, one ; and Aoki Konyo's grave did not appear in any guide-book. It seems that there are elements visiting social studies in Yebis Beer factory and AOKI Konyo's grave. Moreov\ er, from this perspective, it can be stated that the sites related to women, such as Asaoka's grave, have been focused upon.}, pages = {337--348}, title = {明治期における女子高等師範学校の遠足 : お茶の水女子大学附属図書館所蔵絵巻から}, volume = {8}, year = {2005} }
