focusing on the progressive and the resultative state use and to suggest further research. First, I outline the\\r\\\
tense-aspect system of Japanese and then review the previous research. The review includes, firstly, studies on\\r\\\
the Aspect Hypothesis, which predicts the relationship between the development of tense-aspect morphology\\r\\\
and inherent semantics of verbs in both L1 and L2 acquisition and secondly, studies on the acquisition order\\r\\\
