年、大倉は海外貿易、特に輸入業へ専念することを決意し、ロンドン、続いてニューヨークに事務所を開設し、あらゆる種類の日用品の取り扱いを始めた。その後、経済的、政治的、軍事的コネクションを駆使し、自らの会社が幅広い活動、特に建設業や鉄鋼業のような新興の重工業の分野において莫大な利益を得ることを可能とする強い影響力を獲得した。1895年、日清戦争における日本の勝利に対して軍事的に貢献したことは、1905年の朝鮮および満州への征服において彼が主導的な役割を果たすことを可能とし、その地で製材業や鉱業、鉄鋼業などの分野で日中合弁企業という形での足掛かりを得た。それにもかかわらず、中国のナショナリズムの問題をめぐっては、日本政府とは異なる見解を有し、1911年の辛亥革命によって清朝が倒れた際に大倉は彼らナショナリストに対して経済的な援助を行ってすらいた。　1915年、大倉は男爵の爵位を得た。また、東洋の骨董品の熱心な蒐集家であった彼は、日本初の私立美術館である大倉集古館を1917年に設立し、中国やその他の地で蒐集した数多くの美術品をそこに寄贈している。","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_11_publisher_36":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"お茶の水女子大学比較日本学教育研究センター"}]},"item_11_select_19":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_select_item":"publisher"}]},"item_11_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA12478097","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_11_text_18":{"attribute_name":"形態","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_text_value":"1151685
