This paper\nexplores the impact of family sociology on studies of family relations and home economics\neducation, by analyzing textbooks of family relations which are written based on family sociology.\nBy reviewing the published textbooks of family relations since 1945, it was found that there\nhas been stable number of family relations textbooks from sociological point of view, particularly\nsince the 1960s, which implies that family sociology has played an important role in the studies of\nfamily relations. An analysis of textbooks showed that family sociology have provided concepts\nfor empirical studies about families, and a comparative perspective of family norms for the study\nof family relations.
