Shokuiku is recommended to make full use of period for integrated studies, but in practice this standard is often not adequately met. In this study, I first report the findings of a preliminary empirical case study, and then propose a methodological tool – the “Food Diary” – by which to improve the deficiency in the practical application of Shokuiku. An interventional study using food diary technique was conducted for junior high school students in Gifu and Kanagawa Prefecture and qualitative analysis using the KJ method was conducted on the reflection of 213 students. The reflections were classified into two broad categories: “the diary” and “the meal”. “The diary” was further classified into five medium types: “feeling,” “awareness,” “discovery,” “effect,” and “continuation”; and “the meal” into three medium types:“ awareness”,“ discovery”, and“ motivation for improvement.” Based on the results, it was suggested that “Food Diary” could provide effective opportunities for junior high school students to look back on their own dietary habits and looking back on dietary habits in their families.}, pages = {145--154}, title = {「食生活ダイアリー調査」を用いて生きる力を育む ―総合的な学習の時間における食に関する指導の提案―}, volume = {21}, year = {2019} }
