The result of the analysis revealed that Japanese language learners, whose mother tongue is Arabic, used 8 different types of fillers. Among them, the most frequently used ones were “KO, SO, A” type fillers, “Vowel” type fillers and “Nanka” type fillers. Non-Japanese fillers also appeared in the learners' utterances. As for the position of the fillers, the results showed that fillers were used in three different positions in the utterances. Fillers were used most frequently in the middle of the utterance.
