Using the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals as a guide, each government has been formulating the expansion of its preprimary education. However, preprimary enrollment rates are persistently low in most sub-Saharan African countries, and large disparities exist among countries. Although many previous studies have discussed the strong relationship between economic development and education expansion, many sub-Saharan countries do not apply to this case regarding their preprimary education.
