The aims of this study are (1) selecting specific functions for unmarried non-regular female workers based on Martha Nussbaum’s “Central Human Functional Capability List” and (2) clarifying their actual conditions through the selection of these functions. Nussbaum is a philosopher and a joint researcher of Sen’s capability approach. This study’s findings draw on a brain storming method. Our sample is 11 unmarried non-regular female workers. The results were as follows (1) we discovered a new item called “information gathering”. In an information society, the quality of life depends on how one acquires information. It is effective and appropriate for our participants to have added this item to the list. (2) The numbers of times each functioning was indicated necessary by participants varied. While ‘Bodily Health’ and ‘Affiliation’ were mentioned many times, ‘Emotions’, and ‘Other Species’ were not mentioned at all. We can conclude that participants might have difficulties with realization of those functionings.}, pages = {235--244}, title = {女性非正規雇用者の生活実態を探る ─ケイパビリティ・アプローチを用いた検討─}, volume = {22}, year = {2020} }
