It became clear that the aggregation of perfluoroalkyl chains is formed in the crystal structure of a member which shows S_A phase but not in those with no mesophases. In this work, we have determined the crystal structure of F8-4. It turns out that crystal structures change systematically according to the alkyl chain lengths.
