| 内容記述 | This study aims to explore the beginning of infant-toddler’s experiences in Early Childhood Education and Care. The author analyzes “The Diary of Laura: Perspectives on a Reggio Emilia Diary,” which documented the child’s experience at an Infant-Toddler Center in Reggio Emilia, Italy. After taking a look on the uniqueness of the diary, an examination was done for Laura’s depicted relationships in each episode. Then, the role of family and teacher’s interactions in Laura’s adjustment process was examined through specific episodes. Lastly, the well-known “Watch’s tick-tock” episode was reevaluated within the story of Laura’s adjustment to the center. Consequently, the following insights emerged: Laura’s diary captured interactions among people, materials, and space with text and photographs. Laura’s adjustment to the center was intertwined with her life at home, in the close relationship with the family. The teachers subjectively engaged with Laura, attentive to her dialogues with materials. The watch’s episode was recaptured to be an event embedded within Laura’s relationships formed at the center. Thus, the beginning of infant-toddler’s experience at the center signifies the commencement of learning within diverse relationships involving people, materials, and family. | |||||||||
