The rate distortion dimension is introduced in the study of dynamical systems by Lindenstrass and Tsukamoto [LT18], which plays an important role to consider the measure theoretic aspects of dynamical systems with infinite topological entropy. In this paper we focus on the XY-model, the typical example with the infinite topological entropy, and calculate the rate distortion dimension of the Gibbs measure for the potential that solely depends on the first coordinate. |
