| 内容記述 | The psychological support using printed materials, which can be widely distributed at a low cost, seems to be an effective approach for supporting siblings. This study reviewed the literature on such support for adolescents, addressing its potential, limitations, and best practices. Additionally, the article introduced a booklet developed for siblings of adolescents with childhood cancer and discussed its content and future development in the context of the literature review. The review indicated that rinted material interventions were widely implemented and well-received by general youth and clinical populations. The effects of intervention were categorized into increased knowledge, skill acquisition, changes in cognition, beliefs, and attitudes, altered behaviors, and improved wellbeing or reduction in mental health issues. Most interventions showed effectiveness primarily in the first three categories. Qualitative findings suggested that printed materials have potential to facilitate connection and communication. The effectiveness of these materials was influenced by factors such as their relevance to recipients, the recipients’ motivation, and the timing of the intervention. The booklet “For Teenagers with Sick Brothers or Sisters: How to be yourself” was designed to encourage siblings to reflect on their experiences. It is anticipated to enhance sibling readiness and help them recognize their own needs. | |||||||||
