| 内容記述 | 近年、日本に導入されたアメリカ由来のGender-Specific Medicine(GSM)は、医学界における新たな潮流として脚光を浴びている。GSM の歴史と概念、そして日本におけるGSM の実践例（千葉県立東金病院）を紹介し、女性専用外来に対する女性のニーズの高さについて述べる。また１９９０年代に始まった女性医療の普及に影響を与えた要因として、少子高齢化、医療政策、医療市場、メディアなどの社会背景に言及し、更年期女性の抱える問題を中心に女性身体の医療化と治療選択という問題について述べる。さらに、２００３年以降設置された男性更年期外来の実態を紹介し、更年期男性が抱える問題は更年期女性のそれと異なっていることを示す。gender がいかに男性と女性の身体、健康、生活をそれぞれ規定しているかを指摘することによって、従来の医療にgender の視点を導入することの意義と今後の課題について述べる。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Recently, the gender-specific medicine (GSM) from the United States has become a remarkable current for both the medical society and women in Japan. In this paper, summarizing the history and concepts of GSM, I introduce, as a case in practice, the outpatient clinic for women at Togane Hospital of Chiba Prefecture. A number of women currently go to the Hospital for resolving their physical and family problems beyond the Hospital’s anticipation. The need for the women’s medicine is profoundly related with socio-cultural factors in the contexts of aging society, medical institution, medical market, and media. At the same time, I introduce the outpatient clinic for men where some men visit with their complaints of physical pains and mental problems. In conclusion, I discuss the significance to introduce the concepts of GSM into the medicine, indicating the fact that the body, health and life of both women and men are defined in the socio-cultural contexts respectively. | |||||
