| 内容記述 | 本研究では統語的複合動詞の意味推測において、文脈量と日本語習熟度が与える影響について検討した。モンゴル語を母語とする中上級レベルの日本語学習者54名を対象に、調査対象後のみの提示、単文での提示、複文での提示、の三条件で、調査対象後の意味を四肢選択式で推測させた。その結果、(1)統語的複合動詞の意味推測では単文程度の文脈量で十分であること、(2)統語的複合動詞の意味推測でも、正確な意味推測には一定以上の日本語習熟度が必要であること、(3)後項動詞の意味が単独動詞として使われる時の意味と同じか否かによって意味推測のしやすさが異なること、が明らかとなった。統語的複合動詞は、前項動詞と後項動詞の意味から当該の複合動詞の意味を推測することが可能であるために、文脈量や日本語習熟度には関係なく正確に意味を推測できると思われがちである。しかし、これらの結果から、当該の複合動詞の構成要素、当該語を取り巻く文脈量、学習者の日本語習熟度といった条件によって、正確に意味が推測できるかどうかが変わってくることが示唆された。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This study investigates how the quantity of context and Japanese language proficiency affects the inferring of grammatical compound verbs. Participants were 54 Mongolian native speakers learning Japanese, whose Japanese proficiency is at intermediate/advanced level. They were asked to infer the meaning of the target words under three conditions: word in isolation, word within a simple sentence, and word within a complex sentence, selecting from four multiple choices. The results show that (1) inferring the word meanings in a simple sentence leads to more accurate inference, (2) Japanese language proficiency affects the accuracy of inferring word meanings, and (3) the accuracy of inferring grammatical compound verbs is affected by the difference between the meaning of the second verb used as a single verb and the meaning of the second verb used as a compound verb. It is thought that inferring the meaning of the grammatical compound verb is not a difficult task because the meaning of the grammatical compound verb can be derived from the components of the compound verbs. However, the findings of this study show that the accuracy of inferring grammatical compound verbs is affected by the characteristics of the components of the compound verbs, quantity of the context surrounding the target words, and the Japanese language proficiency. | |||||
