| 内容記述 | 本研究は学習者の適性として言語分析能力、音韻的短期記憶、ワーキングメモリを取り上げ、それらが会話能力に与える影響を検証することを目的とする。初級から学習を開始した中国人日本語学習者37名を対象として、(1)学習開始前に適性を測定する3つのタスク、(2)学習開始6ヶ月後と15ヶ月後に会話テストを実施し、適性と会話能力との関連を相関、重回帰分析、分散分析によって検討した。分析の結果、会話テストの成績は2回とも言語分析能力、音韻的短期記憶と有意な相関があった。また15ヶ月後の会話テスト成績に言語分析能力が貢献していることが示された。そして、分散分析によって会話能力上位・下位を弁別するのは音韻的短期記憶であること、上級者を弁別するのは言語分析能力とワーキングメモリであることが明らかになった。この結果は、適性要素と学習段階に相互作用があることを示すものである。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This study investigated the relationships between language aptitudes and L2 oral proficiency. The language aptitudes were defined as follows: (1) language analytic ability, (2) phonological short-term memory, and (3) working memory. The participants were 37 adults with the Chinese L1 background, who had the introductory-level Japanese proficiency at the beginning of the study. Two types of tasks were administered: (1) three tasks that measured aptitude and (2) two oral tests that measured oral proficiency. The aptitude tasks were administered at the beginning of the study, and the oral tests were given in the sixth- and fifteenth- months of the instruction. The study examined the relationships between the three components of aptitudes and the performance in the two oral tests through correlation, regression and ANOVA analyses. Results show that (1) language analytic ability and phonological short-term memory were significantly correlated with performance in the two oral tests, (2) language analytic ability influenced the performance in the oral test conducted in the fifteenth month, and (3) phonological short-ter\ m memory differentiated the success of performance in the oral tests taken by all the participants, and language analytic ability and working memory together explained the success in the oral test taken by participants with high proficiency. In sum, these results indicated that there are interactions between aptitude components and stages of learning. |
