| 内容記述 | 近年,言語少数派年少者を巡る問題では母語力の低下が指摘されている。滞在期間1年を経過する頃にその兆候がみられ,母語の低下は急速に進むといわれている。母語の確立は言語面や認知面,情緒面,社会性の発達,親子関係の構築など年少者の発達において重要な役割を担い,母語力の低下や喪失という事態が生じた場合の影響力ははかり知れない。そこで本稿では,「教科・母語・日本語相互育成学習モデル」(岡崎1997)に基づき母語の保持育成を目指す課外の支援教室を事例とし,児童の母語使用と認識から当該教室での学びを記述し,どのような学びの場を提供できるかを探った。教室における児童の母語使用からは,教科学習を素材にすることがきっかけとなり,認知面・学習面の言語能力を要する母語使用の機会が創出されることが確認された。児童の語りからは,児童が韓国史の学習の場や母語使用の場としての意義を見出していることがわかった。学ぶことの楽しさを味わいながら教科の学習に取り組むことができ,そして母語力の伸長に関心がある児童にとっては母語使用の機会として意識的に活用する機会になること,母語使用に抵抗がある児童にとっては徐々に母語使用の機会が広がる可能性があることがわかった。この結果から,教科学習に取り組むことによって,認知的な負荷の高い活動に母語を使用すること,つまり認知面・学習面の言語能力を要する母語使用が可能になるという「教科・母語・日本語相互育成モデル」の理念が確認された。同モデルは母語の保持育成の一方法として考えることができよう。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Acquisition of L1 is important for cognitive and social development and child-parent relationship. This paper attempts to search for effective ways for supporting L1 by providing classes for the language minority students from Korea who have been in Japan for a couple of years. The classes were based on 'the inter development and learning model of the academic learning, the first language (in this case L1 being Korean) and the second language (in this case L2 being Japanese)'. The result of the analysis of L1 revealed that the classes provided the children with chances of using L1 that demanded cognitive and academic language proficiency. The children participated in the class with the will to intentionally use L1. Even though some children initially showed resistance in using L1 however they gradually get used to it. This conclusion suggests that this model is one of the effective ways for supporting the development and maintenance on the first language for language minority students. | |||||
