"本研究では,地域の日本語教室の入門クラスの学習者同士の休み時間のインタラクションを3か月にわたって縦断的に観察し,学習者同士のインタラクションからどのように日本語の学習が起こるかを観察した。第一に,学習者同士が親しくなるプロセスに注目し,複数の学習者が参加する活発なインタラクションのきっかけは何か,第二に,教師も含む複数の参加者によるインタラクションから学習者がどのように日本語を学んでいくかという点から考察した。その結果,活発なインタラクションが生まれるきっかけとして,お菓子や写真などのモノが関与すること,また,複数の学習者が参加することにより,レベルの低い学習者の「飛び入り参加」という現象も起こり,様々な視点からの「専有」が生まれることがあきらかになった。",
