| 内容記述 | For a long time, people had worn Japanese style clothes, women had have to work hard to sew kimonos, bed clothes and floor cushions for their family. After world war Ⅱ , they had big changes in their life styles, they became to wear European style ready-made clothes. In 1950s, the industry of ready-made clothes developed and women became to work at the factories, dressmaker's shops, boutiques and department stores as dressmakers or salesclerks. In ready-made industry, almost all companies were small and domestic by wholesale and subcontract systems, dressmakers worked at low pay. So the employers couldn't take on skillful workers. The workers were required how they adapt to their companies, more than what kind of skills or knowledge they had. Also in the large enterprises, such as department stores, they were not required skillful. Because they were educated after they entered employment. In many cases, girls who graduated senior high schools found jobs in their living prefectures by school teacher's recommend. So if the graduates of Home Economics Courses of Senior High Schools were skilled in sewing or had a\ wealth of knowledge about clothes, there were not so many chances to be employed by the ready-made industry. |
