| 内容記述 | In the late Meiji period, the Privy Council reaffirmed its role and strove to fulfill its task as the “supervisor of the government”. It also became active in communicating its views to the people. It ceased to follow the government and tried to become an independent entity from all institutions. This period can be considered an important turning point for the Privy Council. | |||||||||
