| 内容記述 | This study classifies and examines articles from the school journal of Ibaraki Prefectural Teacher Training School, published between 1902 and 1906. The aim is to gain a clearer understanding of the tendencies and values held by the students at that time. By tracing the perspectives expressed in the journal, we can glean insights into the students’ thinking, albeit in a limited way. The findings reveal that the students had a strong sense of responsibility and duty as the bearers of national education. They expressed a desire for improvements in various areas, including English education, practical training in fields such as fisheries and industry, education for girls unable to attend school due to childcare responsibilities, geography education, the extension of compulsory education, and the necessity of post-war education in Korea and Manchuria. This indicates a commitment to addressing social issues through educational initiatives. Furthermore, to gain a deeper understanding of the students’ true nature, it is essential to consider and analyze dimensions that are not articulated in the school journal. | |||||||||
