| 内容記述 | A simple and improved method for synthesis of naphthopurpurin was found as follows : when naphthazarin in 0.5% aqueous solution of NaOH was heated on the water bath in contact with air, using a mechanical stirrer, naphthopurpurin was formed. When the method was applied to β-methyl-naphthoquinone and β-methyl-naphthazarin, 2-methyl-3-hydroxy-naphthoquinone, namely phthiocol (the pigment of human tubercle bacillus) and 2-methyl-3-hydroxy-naphthazarin, namely hydroxydroserone (the pigment of Drosera whittakeri) were synthesized respectively. Certain properties of hydroxy-naphthoquinone were investigated, namely the activity of OH-group in its quinone ring for salt of bicarbonate and acetate, etc. ; and an influence of alkyl-group in the quinone ring in acidic medium. | |||||
